After a week of at times bitter campaigning, Sen. Barack Obama faces a crucial test of his support from within the party Saturday as South Carolina Democrats head to the polls in a race that features black voters for the first time this presidential primary season.Pssst. CNN. I really hate to be the one to tell you this, but the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act were passed in 1964 and 1965 respectively. Black people have been voting in this country for quite some time.

to be fair to CNN, there really are just about no black people in Iowa and New Hampshire- it's like, 2% of the population, maybe? And they did say this presidential primary. And while Nevada's a lot more diverse than NH and IA, nobody cared about it until after New Hampshire, which may have a lot more to do with just actual resources to cover such a large geographic area than simple blatant racism, but I have a lot of thoughts on that that I can't wait to bounce off you and M sometime soon, preferably sitting in Jimmy's after the primary. if i'm not making sense, btw, you can blame it on sleep deprivation.
Who said anything about being fair?
point taken...
btw you need to post more!!!
